The second of a set of seven wands, done for my family's Harry Potter-themed Halloween costumes!
All the wands started life as dowels from the hardware store; didn't pay attention to the what the wood was. :/
Pictures taken with my HTC DNA, just before trick-or-treating; last minute thing, before everyone absconded with their wands.
I thought this was going to be the only other wand I made, besides my own. Look how that turned out.

Nice control of shaping, but took a very long time, especially since I had more stock removal to do than with Snape's wand. About halfway through, I switched to shaping with a cheap utility knife (the kind you can snap off as it dulls). That sped things up considerably.
The pits in the "berry" portions of the wand were done with a dremel and a lot of patience. The grooves in the "end cap" were done with a gouge. The symbols in the middle were woodburned.

I love what you did with the holes using the dremel. They look absolutely fantastic!!
